One person, three years of Ghost themes
Prime Direction is not a studio with a support department. It is Dan — the person who writes the code also writes the documentation and answers your email.
Hi, I'm Dan
I have been building themes for Ghost for three years. Before that I spent my time in markup and CSS, and I still work as a freelance front-end developer — Prime Direction is the part of that work I care about most.
That background is the whole reason these themes look the way they do. They are not a page builder with a Ghost skin on top. Every layout is hand-written Handlebars and CSS, built against the current Ghost release, and shipped only once it passes Ghost's own theme validation.
What being small actually means for you
There is no support tier and no ticket queue. When you write to support, the reply comes from the person who wrote the file you are asking about. That usually means a real answer rather than a link to an article.
It also sets honest expectations. I am one person in one time zone, so a reply can take a day — but it will be a reply, from someone who can actually change the code if the bug is real.
What I ship
3 themes today, each one a separate design rather than a preset of the same layout, and each with its own documentation, live demo and changelog. Every theme gets free updates for as long as it exists, including the compatibility work each new Ghost release needs.
Themes are listed on the official Ghost marketplace, which means they have been through Ghost's own review before they reach you.
Buying from one person
It is a fair thing to weigh up, so here is the plain version: every theme is covered by a 14-day money-back guarantee, the files are yours to keep and modify, and nothing in a theme phones home or depends on a service I run. If I disappeared tomorrow, your site would keep working.
If you want to talk before buying, write to me. Pre-sale questions are the easiest email I get all week.
