Social Links

Break lists your social accounts in the Follow column of the footer, at the end of every page. Each account shows as its network's icon and links to your profile in a new tab.

Adding Your Accounts#

Ghost keeps your social accounts in its own settings, and Break reads them from there.

1. Go to ⛭ Settings → General
2. Find the Social accounts section
3. Enter the address of each profile you want to show
4. Click Save

Break has icons for Bluesky, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Mastodon, Pinterest, Reddit, Telegram, Threads, TikTok, WhatsApp, X and YouTube.

An account on a network without an icon shows its name as text instead.

Adding Other Networks#

For a network that is not in Ghost's list, add the link with a short script in ⛭ Settings → Code injection. See Code Injection.

1. Go to ⛭ Settings → Code injection
2. Open Site header
3. Add one call per link, with the name, the address and an SVG icon:

4. Click Save

The link is added to the end of the Follow column and opens in a new tab. Use currentColor for the stroke or fill of the icon, so it follows the footer's text color in light and dark mode.

Notes#

• The links appear in the footer only. The top bar and the menu panel do not show them.
• Author pages show each author's own website and social accounts, taken from their profile in ⛭ Settings → Staff.
